Computer won't accept new ram

just added 2 8gb ddr3 ram sticks to my pc which already had 2 8gb ddr3 ram sticks. once i tried to boot up my pc i just got a blank screen and 3 continuous beeps. i pulled the new ram out and it works fine. any suggestions?

New RAM is not compatible with your motherboard.
