My transcend 8GB pendrive is not recognized by my pc and format

Hello,

When i connect my transcend 8gb pendrive it doesnt recognized my pc. It shows that your usb flash drive is malfunctioned . even when i try to format it i cant do it

First, plug it in on a friend's windows computer and check it. Then. boot it in Linux on live DVD and check whether it is detected. If so, format it to FAT32 format using a Partition Manager.
If none of this works, your USB is defective.
