Dvd drive not opening and its not shown

Hello,
my name is Jo,
i'm having some problems with my desktop computer, its a Pentium dual-core am using windows 7 OS, acer
my DVD drive is not opening and its not shown anywhere in the device manager or the BIOS setup, what could be the problem and how can i solve it?

Looks like you have a fried dvd drive.
