How to Install winXP in inspiron1525 with DOS

Hello,
Dear I have bought new dell inspiron 1525 laptop with DOS. I also changed the harddisk from 250GB to 320GB. Now I want to install windows XP but it is not accepting windows CD. Even its not booting from it. Any Idea why is it so and how to install WindowsXP or Vista.

Dear Imran,
Check your bios setting then boot from CD. if you don't resolve then tell me.
