Spectrum Mobile makes it easy for you to activate your new device, and begin using it. If you've already started the activation process, you can check your status on the official website.

How to activate your device with Spectrum?

To begin activating your device, make sure that it’s turned off before you insert the SIM card. Next, go to the Spectrum Mobile Activate page, and enter your account details to access your account. If you do not yet have one, make one by clicking Create a Username.

Next, select Start Activation, and complete the on-screen steps to complete activation. Upon completion, a confirmation email will be sent to your email address on file. If the activation fails, visit Spectrum Mobile’s Activation Troubleshooting page for more help.

N.B. If the device that you’re activating is an iPhone, you must have installed the latest version of iOS and the Spectrum Mobile carrier bundle.

How to activate your Apple Watch with Spectrum?

There are two ways of activating your Apple Watch with Spectrum: the first one is to purchase it through Spectrum Mobile, and the second one is to pair your own device. Here's how to proceed if you already own an Apple Watch:

  • Reset your Watch and remove your old cellular plan.
  • Make sure that your iPhone and Apple Watch are both updated to the latest iOS and Carrier bundle versions. If this is not the case, you will need to update them.
  • Next, you'll have to pair your Watch and your iPhone.
  • Turn on both devices and bring them close.
  • You'll get the following message: Use your iPhone to set up this Apple Watch. Select Continue and then Set up for Myself.
  • Once this is done, you'll have to hold your iPhone over your Apple Watch. Hold it so that your phone fits the Apple Watch's viewfinder.
  • Next, select Set Up Apple Watch and complete the process by following the on-screen instructions. 
  • After that, select Set Up Cellular and then Continue.
  • You can now enter your Spectrum password and username.
  • Confirm by selecting Sign In.
  • Go through the Terms and Conditions and select Accept and Continue.
  • Next, you'll have to fill your Emergency Address Information and select Save and Continue.
  • Select Yes.
  • And it's done!

Spectrum mobile active in another session: how to fix it?

If you get an error message when trying to purchase a device through Spectrum, here are some solutions that may work:

  • Try using the web version rather than the app.
  • Make sure the app is closed and you're logged out.
  • Close your browser and start again with another browser. 
  • Try contacting Tech support

Unfortunately, it seems that this problem with Spectrum's website is persistent and that there is no final solution. One of the possible explanations for this issue is that there may be a delay between the stock availability information on the Spectrum management platform and the update of the information on the website.
