Dell webam error central error message

Hello,
I have a mini inspiron netbook that is about two months old, and recently I have been getting an error message that says "dell webcam central has encountered a problem and needs to close" how can I fix this as I am also experiencing my computer being slower as well and I think it has something to do with it. Thanks~

have you done a sweep of your pc for virus/malware
