Hello,
Lost my driver for Brother MFC 9700. Downloded driver from Brother on desktop, cannot install driver .... installation hangs up mid-way. Tried 'add a printer... from control panel, no luck - Windows Vista OS

Finally made it work. Get driver for mfc 9700 from windows 7 update!

I assume by now you figured this out but just go to add printer and hit windows update for the correct driver.  I also found you had to re-boot before it would print.  I still can't find a driver for the scanner.
