I tried downloading driver from Motherboard disk, downloading Ac 97 vinyl driver over the net going thru sound devices and uninstalling and reinstalling drivers rolling back drivers, but audio device won't start. Went through boot up windows & device is enabled. Media Players say device id is invalid. I'm running Win XP Pro after reformatting my partition and deleting Win 7 b/c my sound card TV feature wasn't supported. PC was built with XP Home pre-loaded. Other functions appear to work ok, except Windows has also disabled the TV tuner. My guess is that Microsoft has coded Windows to ignore TV tuner and sound devices that are not digitally signed "approved" by Microsoft., Can someone help me fix this? I have a custom built PC with intel pentium 4.

Dear Benny,

If you have tried installing the right compatible driver and if it didn't work, the problem should be coming from its sound card, please consider replacing it.

Thank you.
