Converting Date format in to month format

I have an issue

if 14/02/2013 format is there,i want to change 02 in to month text form.

pls guide.

It can be something as simple as....

=TEXT(A1,"mmm")

Would result in "Feb" if Cell A1 contains 2/1/2013. If you wish to have the complete month name, then use "mmmm".

I hope this gives you some direction for your specific needs.
