Hello,

My axcount was recently disabled by facebook which seems to be affecting alot of people..the wont give reasons stating privacy reasons prevent them from giving the reason. Referring to their terms i look through and do none of those things. I was told to maybe try providing my id to prove i am me in case it was them thinking it was a fake account. I did so hoping for resolution which resulted in getting told it is permanently disabled. I think maybe because id is christopher and i go by chris like 95 percent of the christophers in the world for short. I had pictures of my daughter and some family pets we no longer have around. Didnt partake in any of the big forums that have people talking political or anything else.. i use facebook to talk to my brother that struggles to keep a phone on and a few other friends. I dont get how they delete my profile and 67 yr olds profile that hardly knows how to use it along with other people but keep people on there that so threwtoning vulgar language sexual exploitation and many others on that site. I want any idea of how to reach a resolution about this or what ever info i need to bring a proper legal lawsuit againat the company

Hi Chris,

I don't know why Facebook targeted you. There are four other accounts with the same name. May be someone reported you. If it was only because of your name, they would have asked for id.

Facebook disables accounts that don't follow the Facebook Terms. Some examples include:
• Posting content that doesn't follow the Facebook Terms
• Using a fake name or not using your full real name.
• Impersonating someone
• Continuing behaviour that's not allowed on Facebook by violating the Community Standards
• Contacting other people for the purpose of harassment, advertising, promoting, dating or other conduct that's not allowed.

I suggest you appeal Facebook's decision.

Here is the link:

Good luck

P.S. There are tens of thousands appealing so it may take a long time.

That ia the problem i did that and i get an automated response saying i am disabled ineligible and due to privacy reasons they cant tell me why

Sorry we can't help you any further, my previous response to you was the ultimate recovery method.
