How to Restore Deleted Instagram Account?

  • Recover within 30 days after deletion

If you accidentally deleted your Instagram account, or changed your mind and decided to restore it, then this can be done without any problems within 30 days from the date of deletion. You can do it on both Instagram website and mobile app

1. Select the Login option.

2. Enter your login information.

3. Tap on the option Reactivate Account.

  • Restore after 30 days of deletion

If you deactivated your account more than 30 days ago, the only thing you can do is to contact Instagram support. But you need to be aware that the chances of recovering your account are very small, because after the 30 day period, the social network will start deleting your content from their servers. So follow these steps:

1. Go to the Instagram website and select the Help tab.
2. Scroll down and click on Contact Us.
3. Select the Troubleshoot Account Access tab.
4. In the drop-down menu, select My account has been deactivated. Here you will have to fill out the form providing information about you and your account.
5. To finalize the process, click the Submit button.

What to do if your Instagram account has been hacked?

If you can not access your Instagram account and you think it could be hacked, follow these steps:

Check if you received an email from security@mail.instagram.com saying your email address has changed. If it wasn’t you who did it, cancel it by clicking on the corresponding link in the email. If something else has been changed (such as the password), ask Instagram to receive a login link or a security code.

1. To request a login link, tap on Get help logging in for Android, and Forgot password? for iOS devices.

2. Type in your username, email address, and phone number linked to your account and tap Next.

3. Select where you’d like to receive your login link (email address or phone number) and tap Send Login Link.

4. When you receive the link, click on it and follow the instructions.

  • Request a security code

You can request the security code or support if you can’t recover your account with the login link. To do so, follow the steps below: 1. On the Login screen, tap on Get help logging in and enter your username, and email address, then tap on Need more help? and follow the on-screen instructions.
