Instagram account disabled: appeal, request review

Why was my Instagram account disabled?

If you can not log in to your Instagram account and instead of the welcome message you see the error message saying that your Instagram account has been disabled for violating Instagram's terms, don't worry. This might have happened because you posted some inappropriate content: violent, illegal, or sexual posts or any other content that does not comply with Instagram Community Guidelines and Terms of Use.

What to do if Instagram disabled your account?

If your account is disabled or blocked by Instagram, click on Learn more on your welcome screen, type your username and your password, and follow the onscreen instructions. Otherwise, fill in the form on the Instagram help contact section and write a precise explanation of why you think your account is blocked by mistake. It might take several days for the Instagram team to review and recover your account or write you an answer if that’s impossible.

What to do if your account has been temporarily locked?

If you can not access your Instagram account and instead of a newsfeed, you receive a message saying that ”Your Instagram Account Has Been Temporarily Locked” due to suspicious activity, don’t worry; you can recover it. It is just protection to secure your account from hackers and intruders.

When seeing this message, click on Continue and you will receive a 6-digit code on your phone or email. Enter it in the corresponding field and you will get your Instagram account back shortly. Though the verification process might take up to 48 hours, so be patient.
