To "sate" means to satisfy. "Sating" = "filled to satisfaction" = "I am sating my hunger." "Rating" seems applicable. If so that would be: the presence of over 8 symbols, with at least two of: capitalized letters, uncapitalized letters, numbers, special characters (!@$#^**&_+=-:"<><>?|%). Parens and brackets are usually not accepted because they are logical separators in programming; slashes are almost never accepted; some sites will still not accept special characters. Interesting tidbit; ASCII had no lower case; when ANSI was devised the lower case letters were +20 from the old letters. It also HAD the special characters. By memory the only ones in ASCII were comma, parentheses (parens), quote marks (single or double only but I frankly don't remember which) and of course...periods. I'm hoping this will assist you or at least provide you with a clue to your problem. I'm very sorry I couldn't be of more assistance. GCC
