How do you create a ( for example an invoice) self-generating sequencing number so every time an excel sheet is opened it will generate the new number. I have tried to save my excel sheet in Excel macro-enabled worksheet then open the macro page using Alt F11 to no avail, can anyone help. Thanks

EXCEl is not for generating invoices. Get quickbooks for that! If a free solution is what you are looking for, check out:

BTW, you can do it, but it is klugy! Beside, are you planning on ever referring back to the invoice, as my EXCEL solution won't save each one!
