Show up where? Did you load those files as you did all of the other files that are working?

the .m4a's that i recently loaded on my ipod didn't show up anywhere. When I plugged my ipod into my computer, the ones i loaded showed up as .m4a files just like the rest but when i unplugged it and looked in my music and they weren't there.

It has to be licensed then. The device won't play unlicensed material! Where did you get the copyrighted material?

ahh ok that makes more sense, because I loaded the original ones from itunes and i loaded the ones that don't work just from my computer as .m4a's
