Help? I have Realtek HD Audio speakers (5.1) and no matter what I do, they will only work as side speakers in a 7.1 configuration. I've tried removing and updating the drivers, no help. I saw on one thread where someone fixed it by moving the green cable, but I don't have a regular green plug to move it to. Can someone please help me?

HOw many "ports" do you have for your OUTPUT? I am only able to configure "side" sepakers because I have 6 ports to pug into. When you unplug and plug the Green cable back in, does the OS ask "WHAT do you want to use this for?"
If not, then it knows it is a main speaker, and you cannot do anything else with them!!!
