Battery not effective

i bought laptop battery a month ago; however my computer goes off immediately whenever i disconnect the charger. when the charger is connected, it occasionally shows and remains at 0% and sometimes 100% but still operates like a desktop computer which has no battery. what could be the problem, and how can i fix it.

there are a large number of fake phone/laptop batteries on the market. I suggest you buy a verified name brand from a local retail store.
