a friend of mine installed the windows vista on my toshiba lap top and i have no sound at all now if u could please help me how to get the sound back thank.

You will need to install your sound driver, found on your driver cd!

No. In this CD the drivers are the XP ones.
Go to the Toshiba support website https://uk.dynabook.com/support/drivers/ to download the Vista audio device driver. Then run it.
