Mic doesn't work anymore

Hello,
Just got a headset/mic for my son, it worked fine at first installation with Counterstrike. Then he unplugged it and when reconnected the mic doesnt work now. I have also tried to test it with skype, and the mic part doesn't work there either. any help, PLEASE. he was so happy to finally get it and very sad that it only worked for about an hour. thanks for help you can give.

Hye there,

You will need to install your sound card driver then it will definitely work!

thanks for the quick response! I'm not a computer genious - how do I do the installation? I assume it is installed since the mic worked once already??
