Hi
Updates are no longer available for XP. XP is no longer supported! How on earth did you get an update?

The previous owner of the hdd and os turned off automatic updating and muted update warning, so i checked into the os and saw auto updates were off there were like a bigilion updates over the course of the week i installed one after one and a few weeks ago i installed an update and restarted the the pc and since then it will not boot.

The update you installed must have been incomplete or corrupted. Since Windows XP is no longer supported there is nothing I can suggest.
