No soundDrivers in motherboard cd rn't workin

I had windows vista formally but now i installed win xp 2008 and there is no sound.when i try to view videos or play songs it says no sound device found.i installed all the sound drivers in my motherboard cd but still it doesnot work.what the f is it?

Yes this is because you don't have the XP driver for your sound card!

Just check your motherboard model, you will be able to see it marked on the motherboard...
just try to access the motherboard brand homepage! you will be able to download the driver there!
