Home network

Hello,

I have a cable internet, a wifi router, 2 desktop computers, 2 laptop computers 3 printers (1 photo,1 laser,1 color) and 4 I-touches (wireless). I would like to run lan lines to various rooms in the house so we can plug in the laptops seems to be faster than the wireless. Also we currently need to hard connect to the printers to print. I would like to just select a printer a print from any computer to any printer. What type of swithbox or routers or software do I need to accomplish this ?
