Can I get rid of the verification code?

Hello, I'm trying to add my Yahoo email account to Microsoft Office 2016 but it falls over trying to logon to the server. I can connect other email accounts so I'm assuming it's because of the verification code. Can I do away with the verification code or is there a way around it?

Hello, as you've said, it is most likely to be an issue with the verification code. Unfortunately there is no work around. If you want to use this Yahoo email you are going to need to be able to gain access to it, and change the 2 step verification to another device (if the issue is you no longer have the device being used to verify your account with).
