Hello,
I'm up against a wall. A virus has managed to slip though ma home pc and it has blocked me accessing the registry(regedit), task manager and doesnt let me boot via safe mode. I have formatted my pc, run a scan by using "super ani spy scan", ran a few AV scans and still no luck. I tried renaming the taskmanger via sys32 but this is some clever stuff...Even tried to change the group policy. SOS!!!! I'm in dire straigts guys : (
BTW every time i run a scan the sys detects the virus so its still in ma pc no matter what i've done
Thanks

Hye there,
If you have another partition present on your hard drive you should format it also!
Make sure when you re-install windows, please choose 'Format the partition using the NTFS file system.
Do not choose the quick method!
Then follow the instruction and install windows to c: partition

Got it! Its back to working normal. finally!!!! BTW FYI, all I did was installed Avast+The cleaner and formatted it again. Did have RRT running as well just to keep an eye on things but i was being extra careful. Well if anyone has a prob related to what i did, thats all you gotta do. Hope my experience would help somebody out.
B'Regards
