Hello, have a look at this article on what to do when your keyboard won't type. This should help you get your keyboard working so you can enter your password.
If your keyboard still doesn't work, see if you can't try another to determine whether or not its the keyboard that is faulty.

Hi,
On the lock screen, can you see an option from which you can change the keyboard layout? If yes, click on it to select the correct layout settings for your keyboard.
If you don't have that option, click the reveal icon in the password field to see what you are typing there. It is available on Windows 10 and 8.
