Google Camera is a good app and safe to use. However, I recommend you to download it from official or reliable sources. You can obtain this app directly from the Play Store.
If it says that Google Camera is not compatible with your device, try downloading the APK file from APKMirror. You should find an official variant of the app that's compatible.
