Hi guys. I am trying to upload an inststory but the pictures receive a sort of layer/filter. Like really big coloured pixels over the actual picture. I’ve tried to reinstall the app, to erase the cookies, to change the settings. nothing works

Hi,

What if you upload the photo and then check it on your profile? Do you see the pixels if you try to upload the photo from another device?

If I upload it from another device, it works. It may also have something to do with the latest system updates I made to the phone. ???? By the way: videos are fine. They uplod normal, without any problems.

The recent system update may be the cause - it's possible. I suggest you try waiting for a new update for your phone as well as Instagram.

In the meantime, here's what you can try:

  • If you use the latest version of the Instagram app, try installing a previous version. You can find the different versions on this link.
  • Otherwise, try uploading from the Instagram website instead of the app.

Good luck
