Hello Everyone,
I have a HP dv6000 series, 64 bit laptop (2 years old) that came with pre installed VISTA. A month back it crashed and I did not had the vista recovery disc with me I had installed XP on it which was 32 bit. Now I got my VISTA recovery disc (which I had burned initially) and tried installing vista.
I installed with the option of bringing to factory setting of HP.
It installs fine, but at first reboot it does not load the windows.
It starts with the BIOS screen with HP logo and then the next thing is blank screen (monitor and everything is on).
Please help me since I cannot figure out whats going on.
Thanks

Hi,
Perhaps it is because there has been a conflit due to the different OS.
Best is to format your computer and install a fresh copy of windows Vista.
