Excel vlook up help

Hello,
i have a excel sheet where i have lot of columns
in sheet 1 from a1-a100 there are different numbers say a1-0101, a2-103 so on
on sheet 2 there is a column where there is 30 numbers say a1-0103, a2-104,a3-103 etc
i want a solution where i can put a blank column in sheet 1 say b1-b100 and there all the matching numbers in sheet1 and sheet 2 will have some value like 1 or x.

try =if(countif(range,criteria)>0,1,"X")
