F Keys ??

Hello,

How can I find out what my F keys do on my laptop. I have windows xp. I would like to change some to things that are use instead of brightness etc. But, the main thing is that I have no idea what the F keys are assigned to do now. Is there an easy way to find out what they do?

The Function Keys are controlled by software that the laptop manufacturer supplies. NOT by Windows itself.
I would research the laptop model using Google to find the correct manual. The manual will identify the functions of the keys.

The user has limited ability to modify these functions. Sorry
