Question

Hello,

In my computer you will see the icon for a dvd writer but when you put a blank dvd in the icon changes from dvdrw to cd-rom, now it doesn't read or write dvd's or cd's. 

I have changed the jumpers as suggested, useing every combination possible with the problem completly unchanged.

hi  there,

the lens may be dirty 

use a lens cleaner and try again

if still same issue

go to device manager and update the driver
