Can Some One please help me with my computer?

Hello,
I started my computer and got a blue sceen with a bunch of errors on it. kernal DLL "c000021A unknows hardware"
i then thought to boot up in safe mode when i tried that took me straight back to blScreenean. so then i thought to reinstall xp
which when i did i got "disk 0 at id 0 on bus 0 on atapi can't not access the disk"i press enter in the window professional set up
it keeps process and show in technial support setupdd.sys-address F84C49A8 base at F849D000, DATESTAMP 41107C8F
so then i barrowed my moms xp disk and still did the same thing. ive done alot of searching on these codes and what ive read is
that im needing a new RAM stick.....Is this what i need?

You might have a faulty hard disk or a problem with the data connection to the hard disk. I would try to disconnect the hard disk and reconnect it. remove the power cord before you open the computer case.
