Hello,

I've had my HP Paviolion Entertainment PC for almost a year. Everything had been working fine until a few months ago when the left-click button on my Synpatics V6.3 touchpad stopped working. I just ignored it, assigning my top-left tap zone to have left-click functionality. I was content, but of course things had to get worse: about a week ago the touchpad completely lost it. My scroller works only sporadically, things aren't registering when I click OR tap, and when I move the mouse around on the screen it randomly selects different items (or, in Microsoft Word, it selects text and won't allow me to deselect). I tried changing my device settings, but it didn't do anything.

I read another thread where many people were apparently having similar problems; tried all the suggestions, including uninstalling all USB Hub Root drivers, but the problem still persists.

I am not sure if this is a Synpatics issue or a Vista issue or what, but hopefully someone can help.

Hey! Thanks for the response. Although, I'm not quite sure I understand how to go about updating the chipset driver.
