xp recovery disc Closed

Hello,
I need to reformat my hard drive, and wonder whether I will be able to restore windows xp home from my manufacturers recovery disc, which has a facility to reinstall the system settings (i do not have a seperate copy of XP

Dear Sir,

If you have the recovery disc you will be able to restore to factory settings,

This depends on what you really want to do,

If you want to re-install Windows Xp you will need the Installation disc,

Please make sure to save all your important data on a partition or on an external hard drive

unfortunately windows XP is part and parcel of my sony recovery disc and wonder if after formatting i can re =install xp  from the disc as there is no windows code no on the supplied cd  or cover
