Hello
Try these steps to determine the effect of any possible virus
1. Logon in safe mode (as the computer is booting press and hold your "F8 Key" and select safe mode from the list)
2. Disable all start up items by going to start >> run >>msconfig (more info http://www.ontechnews.com/computer-tips/performance-tips/how-to-disable-startup-programs-in-windows-xp-and-vista/
3. Restart and logon normally
If your system is rebooting again then there is some other problems. Check whether your system fan is working properly.
