Age of empires 3 problem

Hello,
i bought age of empires 3.......when i install it and try to run ,it tells there's a corruption in graphics or install direct x 9 or above.............please tell wat to do...it worked first when ibefore i formatted and installed a xp sp2 instead of xp sp2.....wat should i do now...please tell :)

Well given that DirectX needs update start by the update: http://download.microsoft.com/download/1/7/1/1718CCC4-6315-4D8E-9543-8E28A4E18C4C/dxwebsetup.exe
