GTA Error Closed

Question

Hello,
i installed GTA IV today and i got an error that said FATAL ERROR: DD3D50
i installed directx 9 and it said it again. i restarted my computer and it still did not work.
i have 3.5g of ram, 1.78 GHz, AMD Sempron(TM) Processor 3400+
Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 3.

Any tips on how to fix it?

hi there,

you need either a dual core or core duo processor 

upgrade it then reinstall the game

Hi im alex,

and i have a problem with gta 4 for pc.  I got a brand new one, and perfore the little movie or clip.  I stops and closes it out and , let me show u how it exactly says, GTA IV FATAL ERROR: Unable to create depth render target- Please re-install DirectX and/or install the lastest video card driver.  I have downloaded DirectX alot of times and it says ready for use.  I have a brand new laptop with windows 7 home premium with 
Pentium(R) Dual-core CPU T4300 @ 2.10GHz, 64 bit operating system. Please help
