Hello,

Here it is... and geeksquad can't figure it out.

Running WIN XP.

The computer detects the CD/DVD drive. It shows no error codes anywhere and the driver says it is current.

The drive plays audio CD's.

It will NOT recognize a DVD... it fails to boot at all.

I reloaded Powercinema 9.0, cleared the upper and lower filters, reloaded the driver, and have no idea what else to try. Is it a broken drive issue or a software issue, help someone please!

Dear Steve,

From what you are stating, it could actually be that the lens is not working properly. It is

able to read cds but need more performance for reading dvds. It is either the lens not

working properly or you have been victim of counterfeit hardware. Please confirm both of

them.

Thank you.
