Microsoft 2003 Word

Hello,

Up until today, I was able to write a word doc, and the page number automatically displayed. After a routine "update" in which my computer automatically updates itself, shuts down, and then reboots, I noticed that I can still write in Word, but it does not offer the page number at the bottom . . .it looks like one big sheet of paper. . .how do I fix this?
