How to format

Hello,
I tried to format my pendrive but it is telling that some programs are running and cannot format though i am not running any program
now please give me suggestion how to format it

hi there,

press ctrl shift esc key and start windows task manager

go to processes tab and end process of the file that is present in the device

or use hp disk format tool

download it from link below:
