Samsung corby

Hello,
i bought a new samsung corby and for synchronising with computer i downloaded samsung pc suite but even though my computer is not identifying the usb.what do i do?

unplug fone and pc off usb. restart fone and pc. wait til pc n fone fully boot up. plug usb in difrnt socket on pc. plug in fon to usb n wait. if that don't fix it then maybe driver is missing or sumat?? check in ctrl panel device mgr., Gd lk!
