hello,
i think you could have fried your hard drive while unplugging the power cable and if not then your windows could have been corrupted and you cannot do something with it apart from repairing the windows or else doing a clean installation on it. but you must have the windows cd in order to do it without it you wont be able to do something.

it certaily does not
as you can go on ebay and source the cds from there but make sure that it is new in box with OEM
in any case there is a far better OS that is free
the top end one is LINUX
and the easier one is UBUNTU
downloadable and totally free from the net
no key required
BUT most importantly
when selecting what you want to run on the OS make sure you dont download
SPICEWORKS
it has a very bad trojan installed
here are some other free programs for you to down load and install all available from www.majorgeeks.com
a very fast downloader called
DAP87
Protection software
AVG FREE 8
SPYBOT SEARCH AND DESTROY
Vcleaner
cleanup software
CCleaner
wise reg defrag
wise disk cleaner
comodo reg cleaner and firewall
Auslogics defrag
I use all of these since some will do things others wont so I sort of cover all angles by using all of the above
running the anti virus and anti spyware first
then running each of the cleaning programs but CCleaner as the last one
then the wise defrag followed by the auslogic defrag
one mor e free prog that will be of use to you just in case you need to get back some lost data
RECUVA
