Hello,i want toconnect a network printer to my router via cat5, can i then add the printer to 4 laptops as a local printer using tcpip

hi there,

yes my friend you can connect by cat 5cable

and for a normal printer you will need a print server

connect printserver to modem/router/switch

then configure and assign a fixed ip for it 

and install the driver agents on the pc that will have access to it

you are done
