Hello,

Me and my sister are trying to play a multiplayer game of Battle for Middle Earth 1 with an ethernet cable. In game, we select Multiplayer, then Network. I can see her, but she can't see me. When she hosts a game and I attempt to join it, i'm given a error message stating "Connection timed out."

all i did was plug the cable into the comps, nothing more.

I'm using a IBM laptop with Windows XP Professional. She is using a Dell desktop with Windows XP Home.

Help!

Hello,
This is because her firewall is blocking access to the application.

Tell her to enable access to the playing network.

While playing make sure that all firewalls on both machine is turnoff.
