HP LP2456 monitor wont turn on

Hello,
I have had this problem since yesterday night here it is

I turned off my PC and then 10 mins later turned it back on but my screen wont turn on and whenever i press any of the buttons on the front it says monitor going to sleep and the led stays irange until i touch a button and then it goes orange again and the screen stays black pls help me my monitor is a HP LP 2456 and im writing this from another computer

hi there,

check the connection cable to graphic card to cpu (vga cord)

and if needed chance the graphic card

is the cpu running?

a sign of life like fans spinning,cd drive open/close etc...

please give more information

yes the fans are working everything is except the frigging monitor and whenever i detach the video cable isays please check the video cable

Hello,
every single time I turn it on it says power saving and go to sleep it was just working until I moved it to a different spot in my room everything else is working but the monitor keeps saying power saving mode it won't show my desktop or anything I checked the cords and I'm pretty sure they aren't loose help me please

whenever I turn on my PC, it shows me this " "163-Time & date not set
The system time is invalid. This may be a result of a loss in battery power. Set the correct time and date using your operating system If this message persist you may need to replace your onboard battery

monitor keeps going in power save mode

Hello,
I am trying to connect my laptop to a monitor. The monitor worked fine with a pc when I last used it, a while ago. I have recently used the same laptop with another monitor, and that worked fine. But those two together... the best I managed was to get the monitor to show me the laptop's desktop for 2 seconds before going back to safe mode. Any idea what's going on??
