How to install camera pictures into your pc

Hi, um i'm having trouble inserting pics from my camera,
it's a canon Powershot A 80 and it looks like this:http://img.tomshardware.com/us/2003/09/04/digital_camera/a80_1.jpg
The laptop I'm on is an acer and The camera memory card doesn't fit in
this, also i have a cord for the camera but it doesn't work either, should
I use a memory stick or is there an easier way?

Dear Sir,

Please consider using another cord so that you get the possibilty to

copy the photos to your PC. This will be the most logical way to fix

the matter.
