Downgrade from vista to xp

Hello,
I recently ran over my hp pavilion notebook, dv5 1004nr. It ruined the hard drive and the screen which I have replaced. I have installed xp pro sp 3 now for I don't have vista premium that it came with on any backup or cd. But I have the typical "no sound" problem.
My screen also kind of waves down when I scroll down with it.
I have no option to put it in standby mode or hybernation.
No touch pad config.
Any help appreciated.
