Hello,
Im using Windows xp. my system crashed about 4 hours ago with a blue STOP screen with white text along the lines of problem with windows, shut down to prevent damage. check for adequate disk space. If driver is identified in the stop message, disable it (how?). try changing video adaptor. check hardware vendor for bios updates, disable bios memory options such as caching and shadowing.
Tech info: 0x0000007e (0xc0000005, 0xf74d67co, 0xf789e52c, 0xf789e228) below it says atapi.sys - adress F74D67CO BASE AT f74c0000, datestamp 4802539d.

I have tried chaging options in Bios, i have selected every option on f8 and have tried every option on f12 and blue screen still comes back, it appears after windows xp with logo screen.

When i try to reboot it says selected boot device not available press f1 to continue which takes you back to blue screen or f2 to go to bios setup.

Normally computer arnt a problem but this is.

Any help with this or if anyone has had similar problems please help :-)

Cheers

Gareth
