1. GO TO BIOS BY PRESSING F2 ON DELL LOGO WHEN U TURN ON THE SYSTEM
2. USE THE RIGHT ARROW KEY TO HIGHLIGTH ADVANCE OPTION.
3. SCROLL DOWN TO SATA MODE / SATA OPERATION
4. CHANGE THE OPTION TO ATA FROM AHCI
5. SAVE THE CHANGES AND U CAN START THE INSTALLATION

Hi,
Few days back I got a new Dell 1440 insprion leptop with Windos 7.
Now I want to install windos XP with dual boot.
i have the bootable CD for XP but while installing it gives me error
saying that check your hard drive or virous system.
Please help me on this , I am very new to this installation process,
one of my frnd told me about SATA option...but I dont know about this.
please any one can give me detailed process steps for installation , it will be great help for me.
