Un recoverable

Hello,
I bought my PC with a built in version of XP home edition. I made my own copies of recovery disks, (when burning the disks all disks were confirmed as being OK) now my PC has crashed. I began to use the recovery disks but when I got to disk 6 of 7 it told me a file is missing and is unable to continue the option given is to cancel setup, I don't have an original XP disk and now have an unusable PC. How can I get up and running again

without the recovery discs you cant do something with the pc unless you make a clean installation of the pc completely and what you can do is to try to get the windows cd
